Support the Leyenzal

The Leyenzal is committed to providing free educational resources to readers of Yiddish around the world. However, we rely on the generosity of sponsors to commission new lectures and maintain the website. If you enjoy our content and/or believe in our mission to support Yiddish studies online, please consider making a donation. The easiest way to support the Leyenzal is by making a tax-deductible gift on this page using PayPal, or by sending US checks made out to Leyenzal – A Yiddish Literacy Project to the address found at the bottom of this page. As a non-profit public charity in the US, we are happy to provide written acknowledgement for your tax-deductible donation. Our Federal Tax ID number (EIN) is 46-1184762.

We welcome donations in any amount. A contribution of $200 will enable us to commission a new lecture, and as a special thank you, we will list your name (or organization) as the sponsor of the lesson you enabled, along with a dedication in honor or memory of someone. We especially encourage users to consider making donations in honor of a teacher who fostered in his or her students a love for Yiddish language and literature. When you send a gift of $18 or more in honor of a teacher, we will include your name and dedication on the list of our sponsors (in addition to any separate acknowledgment for sponsoring individual lectures).

For more information about donations, please contact Isaac Bleaman at donations@leyenzal.org.

Other ways to support the Leyenzal:

Yiddish books in English: When you order a book about Yiddish literature or Jewish history (or any other item) from Amazon using this link, the Leyenzal will receive a percentage of the proceeds. Additionally, if you do your regular Amazon shopping through smile.amazon.com and select "Leyenzal" (or just click here), your purchase will automatically include a donation.

Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,
Isaac Bleaman
